When Angel is placing the over the top, mass murdering equipment it hightens the seriousness that Angel has, however this also hightens the funny side because this equipment is not for use of the police. Scenes that are longer usually contain dialogue or set up the next shot. They usually are humoruous because they introduce the feelings and tension for the next shots.
